There are two vital parts of a website, the domain name and a hosting account.
What’s a domain name?
A domain name is the address of your website, so for example, ours is www.darrobric.co.uk. You can search to see if a particular domain name is available and once you find one you like, you can register it and retain ownership of it for a small yearly fee.
We can help register a new domain name on your behalf or we can work with an existing domain name that you’ve already purchased through another company.
What’s a hosting account and why do I need one?
A hosting account is where a website is stored. A website is made up of lots of different files and they need to be stored on a server in a data centre so the website can be accessed when a visitor goes to the domain name.
We can help to set up a new hosting account or we can work with an existing hosting account that you’ve already purchased through another company.
Once you own a website domain and you’ve set up your hosting account, we can set up your company email addresses.
These emails can be directly delivered to your phone, tablet, laptop or PC. You can access your emails via the web too.
We’ll help you set up the accounts and be on hand if there are any issues.
